What should my gateway lights show?

Top LED light (status)

Color
Meaning
⚫ No light
Gateway is off. Check that the power supply cable is securely plugged into the gateway and a reliable power source. Try connecting to a different power supply.
🔵 Blinking blue
Gateway is powered on and trying to connect to the network (see signal LED section below) and then to Amper's data upload service (AWS domain).
🔵 Steady blue
Gateway is connected to Amper's data upload service (AWS domain) and can publish data.
🟡 Yellow
SD card malfunctioning.
🔴 Steady red
Gateway power source lost. Gateway is running on temporary battery.
🔴 Blinking red
Can't access Amper's device management service (Particle domain) over the active network connection. This usually indicates an IT firewall issue. Refer to the IT requirements and make sure the firewall is properly configured.
⚪ Blinking white
Can't access Amper's data upload service (AWS domain) over the active network connection. This usually indicates an IT firewall issue. Refer to the IT requirements and make sure the firewall is properly configured.
🔴⚪ Blinking red and white
Can't can't access Amper's data upload service (AWS domain) and also Amper's device management service (Particle domain) over the active network connection. May indicate an IT firewall issue. May also indicate device does not have internet access over current Wi-Fi connection.

Meaning
⚫ No light
Signal strength may be too poor to establish a connection. 
🟢 Green  
🟡 Yellow
Gateway is connected to a network. Signal strength is adequate.
🔴 Red
Gateway is connected to a network. Signal strength may be too poor for reliable data. Try mounting it higher up or improve line of sight.
⚪ White/purple
(LEGACY ONLY)
Gateway is in configuration mode. You will need to enter the credentials for your network. (Current generation gateways can be configured at any time.)
